2026 MARCHING CRUSADERS COLORGUARD

Summer Sectionals

The drumline and colorguard sections are unique in that they need to start rehearsing before the full ensemble rehearsal. The skills necessary to march and play or march and do the choreography, is significantly more difficult than for the general marcher. Therefore, the drumline and colorguard will have several sections prior to summer rehearsals beginning in July. Instructors will be sure to go over attendance requirements with students via the Band App group, as well as in person. Sectional will be at LCN from 5:30pm-9pm on the following dates:

Monday, June 15th
Wednesday, June 17th
Monday, June 22nd
Wednesday, June 24th
Monday, June 29th
Wednesday, July 1st
Monday, July 6th
Wednesday, July 8th

2026 Marching Crusaders Colorguard Try-It Sessions

Are you interested in joining Marching Band but don't play an instrument? Do you play an instrument but would like a new challenge? Do you like to dance and throw objects into the air? Then colorguard may be for you!

The Marching Crusaders Colorguard instructors will be holding "Try-It" Sessions for any current 8th through 11th grade students interested. No experience necessary!

Monday, May 4th 6pm-8pm
Wednesday, May 6th 6pm-8pm
Wednesday, May 13th 6pm-8pm

Sessions will begin in the LCN Band Room. Students should enter the band room through door #48 (facing the student/visitor parking lot and MS North). You are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and clothing and be prepared to sweat a little!

*Please note* - Colorguard is a specialized section of the marching band. Therefore, the requirement of colorguard members to be in a school ensemble is waived (but encouraged, if you play an instrument 😊).

*Please Note #2* - If you elect to join the colorguard for the 2026 marching season, you will be required to register for the Marching Crusaders on Tuesday, May 19th. Registration information will be available soon on the main page of the website, as well as in the band rooms of HS North, MS East, and MS North. If you are unable to attend the New Marcher Orientation and Registration event, please reach out to Mr. Griffith (and attach the colorguard instructor) as soon as possible for direction on how to register.
