2024 MARCHING CRUSADERS PERCUSSION

The 2024 Marching Crusaders are call you to be a part of the next percussion section! Any current 8th grade through 11th grade percussionist interested in joining the Marching Crusaders Percussion Section should come to the "Try-It" sessions being held in the L'Anse Creuse HS North Band Room. Sessions will run as follows:

  • Tuesday, April 30th 6pm-8pm

  • Tuesday, May 7th 6pm-8pm (yes, the session with run on a day with no school)

  • Tuesday, May 14th 6pm-8pm

Students will trying out the various instruments involved in the marching band season like the marching snare, tenor, and bass drums, as well as several different mallet percussion instruments. Students are encouraged to bring a pair of drum sticks with them, but know sticks and mallets will be available for the Try-It" Sessions.

*Please note* - All wind and percussion students joining the Marching Crusaders are required to be a member of a concert band at LCN or IAM.

LCN  D R U M L I N E & Front Ensemble

LCN Percussion!

The Indoor Percussion Ensemble combines elements of music performance, marching and theater. Students work together to perform highly advanced percussion arrangements in coordination with choreographed drill on a customized floor covering. This ensemble competes January through March in local MCGC (Michigan Color Guard Circuit) and WGI (Winter Guard International) events.

L'Anse Creuse High School - North formed its' first team in 2014 under the leadership of Mr. David Mety & Mr. Ryan Thibodeau. LCN Percussion placed first in all four competitions and brought home the silver medal and trophy at the MCGC State Championships held at Saginaw Valley State University. The impressive inaugural season was rewarded by LCN Percussion being promoted from Regional A to Scholastic A for the 2015 season.
